Goal of the Gala is to raise funds for operations and capital improvements for the Parish and School. This year's focus is to enhance the safety of our school by moving the Parish office to the entrance. Sponsorships, tickets and auction money raised supports the event and building maintenance, competitive teacher and staff salaries, technology and capital improvement needs, basic operations, and maintaining our beautiful church and school while continuing to grow our 8,000+ member parish.
We always go for black-tie. This year's theme lends itself to a smokey jazz ambiance where black or colors with suits, sparkles, fedoras and one shoulder. Think Frank Sinatra, not flapper.
Grand Raffle tickets are one of our fundraisers during the Gala. Tickets are $20 a piece. Winners receive $5,000 or tuition credit in that amount. Look for tickets at school/parish events, after masses.
A St. Charles favorite and tradition, the Dessert Dash is exactly that - a race to retrieve THAT dessert for your table. Speed, agility and power are not enough for this endeavor. Tables who raise enough money from their table that night get a head start, most likely first pick. If your last, a tower of Twinkies may be calling your name.
The paddle raise concludes the live program, raising funds for specific projects. Last year, this consisted of our beautiful 5th grade classrooms. This years focus in on enhancing the safety of our school and parish!
Parishioners and families graciously host groups ranging in size to an event, outing, experience or all of the above. These range from boat cruises, BBQs, wine dinners, paddle taverns, pool parties (to name a few - the possibilities are endless!). Hosts personally fund and curate the event while guests "buy-in" to participate - all money raised go to St. Charles.
